Eweek has the story [eweek.com] about the latest changes in browser stats from WebsideStory. IE has continued to lose users since its loss began in early June to bring its total loss to nearly 3% falling to 92.9%. They've lost users to Firefox (now at 3%), Mozilla/Netscape (with Firefox, now at 6%, a 2.48% jump since September) and Opera and Safari (now at 1.1% combined).
WebsideStory also made the surprising step of reporting Firefox marketshare on its own line, owing to its big jump in users. Momentum towards Firefox slowed a bit in August and early September but sped back up on release of the 1.0 Preview Release. A full-page Firefox ad in the NY Times is expected soon as well.
(Sigh... I wish we could edit titles... any mods wanna help me out?)
