Windows: See starway's post: [webmasterworld.com...] (which confirmed my point that I'd made a several posts earlier about not being able to get at the cookies) Completely useless file unless you can figure out the format. At least you can edit them in Moz and M$IE. I suppose you can delete the file, but that will remove all of them. Can't say for linux.

Hi Bob, what I am looking for is the path to the 'default.adr' or 'bookmark.adr' or some variation of 'word.adr' where it sites in w98 and XP. It isn't in a standard place? From what I've been able to tell is is of a variant of: C:\Program Files\Opera\OperaX.adr or C:\Program Files\Opera\default.adr

I promise you I thought your earlier post said cookies, not bookmarks. (You didn't edit that post did you?) In opera, goto help, about opera: Bookmarks C:\Program Files\Opera6\Opera6.adr It's human readable.
