Opera quirk? Table cell formatting not working for me

It is a minor annoyance but I am having trouble getting opera to behave.

When using css to format tables it seem to work in IE, netscape but when viewed in opera it falls down.

.x {
vertical-align: top;
width: 23%
}

with a <td class="x">...

Any comments, cheers

Hello ukgimp,

I tested your css with Opera 6.04 and 7.10. Text aligns to the top of the cell in both browsers. Are you sure there isn't something else that causes trouble?

Otherwise there's always good old valign=top...

Ron

Sorry, I was not clear, it is the width that does not work. I have two cells that just revert to 50% width each when viewed in opera. NN7, and IE work fine.

Thanks
