msg:1581814 | 9:12 pm on May 24, 2006 (gmt 0) | Where do I start! I decided to set up an MSN AdCenter ad last week. I went through all the screens and completed the process. Two days later I found to my amazement that my ads had been rejected for "Undesirable content". Long story short, I had the word Spanish in my ad and it was rejected by the automated system because it thought my ad was in a foreign language. I completed the review process and was approved. My ads were still not showing two days later, so I called the help desk. I spoke with a very nice woman who explained that I had mistakenly Selected the language and regional area as France from the dropdown box. I was advised that this could not be changed and I would have to set up a new ad (and go through the same process all over again - including the review process!). Reluctantly I started to set up a new ad. When I came to add my keywords in the system would not accept any of them! I called the help desk and was told it was because I had a Google button in my toolbar and this would have to be removed because it was not a Microsoft product and was interfering with my ability to add the keywords! Does Microsoft want my advertising spend? Or should I just increase my spend on Google Adwords? I think I have the answer after today.
