Does anyone know if Wordpress works with MSSQL 2000? On the Wordpress site it says that you have to have a minimum of MySQL to run Wordpress but I would assume you could run MSSQL 2000 also? And do you have to do anything to configure this differently in the setup?

I'm not sure but wouldn't assume it works with MSSQL 2000 if it says you need MySQL. A lot of applications are based specifically on MySQL.

I guess I will just find a host that uses MySQL then.. My host claims MySQL is not as secure as the other but unless I find a better blog software than Wordpress I have no choice.

It sounds like your host is claiming that windows software is more secure than open-source software like MySQL and Linux. Don't trust that host ;)
