Where's the buzz. Nobody seems to have much to say about YPN. Broadway
My application to YPN hasn't resulted in an invitation to participate (bummer). I came to the YPN forum thinking that there would be a lot of excitement and a number of threads to read (just like the Adsense forum often is). I looked at the current YPN threads and only counted about 20 individual postings in the last 3 days. I mean talk about buzz kill. YPN lauches a new program and evidently invites so few websites that zero hype is created. It's almost like negative publicity.
As one of the folks in the program I've wondered about that as well. This is one of the most interesting things to happen in over a year for me. unreviewed
"It's almost like negative publicity."
i think part of the reason is that it's not clear what's kosher to discuss regarding the YPN TOS and making comparisons, etc. does anyone know exactly what we can and can't discuss? morpheus83
Unlike adsense this is still in beta and only US publishers can test it :-(. But yet the forum is not that active as it should be. vccubed
All I can say is that starting this past Wednesday Yahoo started showing my ads on publisher sites and my conversion rates were 6x higher than the rates for the same terms on the regular network.
As expected I had to pull my ads off, just like I did with Adsense. I wonder I sure hope the targeting gets fixed or else all the publisher networks will be history!
I added my name to the list several months ago.
Two weeks ago I get an email saying they are inviting me into the program. There was a link in the email which I clicked and brought me to a form to fill out.
Since then I have heard nothing.
Has anyone else gone through a similar routine?
(maybe the email they sent had Congratulations! in the title and my spam blocker ate it)
