YPN payment freeze issue due to tax id information being wrong?
Your Tax Identification Number (SSN or EIN) has been entered incorrectly.

today , my YPN account show "Your Tax Identification Number (SSN or EIN) has been entered incorrectly. Please edit your Tax Identification Number."

there is no any new payment record , only show "Available Balance$X,XXX.XX"

1.why?
2.does anyone same to my account?
3.how to fix the SSN , if I don't want to fix it , can I get my new yahoo payment check?

Yahoo says they couldn't validate the tax information and it would need to be resubmitted before payment could be sent. They provided directions on how to resubmit from within the account</paraphrase>

When I logged it yesterday got a message that my tax ID was wrong so they were freezing my payments. Could possibly be my error when acct was opened last yr but very interesting how they know that since I am at least 99% certain the IRS does not verify either EIN or Soc Sec numbers for privacy reasons, so how would they know that anyway?

Another weird thing is I went to the CP and switched from an EIN to a Soc Sec (to expedite things if the ein was indeed not entered right) my screen still say's it is wrong!

When I called about that I was told it can take 5-days for payment freeze status and error message to go away, which seems odd since I assume it must be done in real-time. It's all very odd.

we have the same problem and were notified yesterday via email and the CP. I went in to "correct" the information, though the tax id number was blank, like with other "secure" info so i could not see if there was an error. There was also a spelling error in my name. I re-entered the info and verified it to be correct. we still have the notification regarding an error and the email sent says it could take up to 5 days to remove the payment hold.

this did not affect ad serving or earnings and as of today we have an available balance for april's earnings. my question is, did they say that you would be delayed in receiving your check until the next payment cycle or will they issue the check once the problem is resolved? definately curious to this as checks are supposed to go out tomorrow.

anyone with any information, it will be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had success in getting the payment hold released and the bad tax id number error to go away?

I too am having the same problem. It happened to me around the same time I signed up for Direct Deposit. Now, the form wont take the EIN that I have had in there all along. Their program is clearly broken and it is affecting my cash flow. NOT GOOD YAHOO! FIX IT!

We got an email on this issue a (couple of?) month ago. We resubmitted with a corrected address (earlier, we gave them the mailing address, rather than the official registered address.) This week, the message said essentially, "EIN verified".
