Yahoo accepted me!
But I'm not in the U.S :(

What do I do?

I remember I signed their newsletter with my real data, a foreign address, now they are asking me to join the YPN program.
Sadly, it clearly states it is only for U.S.
I would wonder if I could signup with a fake tax id, even if I can't never get any cash and try it in one of my ads-free site, just for the sake of know the system and get some experience in the mean time while they expand their program to other countries.
What do you think?

What do you think?

I think not a good idea. If you get your site banned, you won't be able to use Yahoo! when they do expand to your Country.

Why not just wait?

When you fill out the application for a beta account, it says at the top in bold print "Participants of the program must have a valid U.S. Social Security or Tax ID number, and web site content that is predominantly in English and targeted at a U.S. user base."

So by submitting an application for the beta program, you are essentially stating that you meet the above requirements... I am guessing when they look at the sites that have applied, they are not double checking the whois addresses (you don't need to fill in your physical address for the beta application), since they are going on the assumption that you must have met the above requirements if you submitted an application.

I wouldn't submit fake information, you never know if it could then jeopardize getting an account once it does go international.

I signed up for an email list way before the beta announcement, they did not even asked me for a site, I remember that, but in case they asked my address, which I don't remember, I would sure my real physical address. I just signed up to get news about it.

Well, anyway, I remember someone in a foreigh country did it, though I don't consider it a good idea either, frankly.
I will have to sit and wait.
Does anybody know when will they extend it to other countries?

Thanks, Jenstar.
BTW, how is going the experiment you're doing about spliting page impression to half to adsense vs ypn?
Who wins?

Jenstar, do you mean for everyone in the U.S or for everyone in the world?

Yes, my split testing will be complete tomorrow after the day's stats update... and my lips are sealed til then ;) I won't be able to post the specifics here because of the forum TOS on blog links though.

Last I heard, they would begin international by the end of the year as well. I am not sure if it will be selected countries or all countries at that time though.
