Hi,

I was reading some posts way back in 2000, and came across info on the ia_archiver from Alexa. (I have been spidered by them) The posts recommended blocking this spider because of the way it works.

How do I block a spider?

Thanks,

wbrook

wbrook, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

You would use robots.txt to block the spider. The robots.txt tutorial [searchengineworld.com] gives complete instructions for this.

Here's another, specifically on access denial [searchengineworld.com].
