They responded to me - gist of that email:

NTT Resonant, Inc - Multimedia file web search. Formerly the crawler known as gazz/x.0 - tech info and the search portal will be announced in February.

Nope - if you look up the company name, they have all sorts of interesting irons in the fire, like:

[japancorp.net...]

The bot seems to have normal behavior. It come in on one of my topics and crawled this intense and did later some other sites too.

Also it seems interested in images.
