How to stop my keyboard switching layout
keyboard switching languages

I work on an UK Spec IBM T43 and a few times a day the keyboard will (seemly randomly) switch over to English (United States) layout putting the @ sign where double quote should be etc - it's not a major hassle I can switch it back to English (United Kingdon) with the language bar, but what causes it, and is there a way of just setting in permanently to the layout I want?

I use the Language Toolbar to switch between English, Japanese and Chinese input, but I've never had the input switch on me as you describe. Would it be an option to simply remove the US keyboard layout from the Text Services and Input Languages dialog?

Thanks Bill, I forgot about that. I think I've found the cause of my problem, I had a shortcut set up to switch languages (Alt + Shift) I guess I must have been accidently hitting that...
