How to clear form history?

 6:01 pm on Sep 6, 2004 (gmt 0)

There must be a way to clear the forms history in IE but I can't seem to find it. I can find the setting to clear visited web page history and cache etc but not for online forms... any help is appreciated.

there should be no need to clear the cache for them...it sounds like you are viewing cached pages tho'...

check this:

open IE, on the toolbar, goto TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS then click the "SETTINGS" button in the temporary internet files section, ensure the check box for "every visit to the page" is checked...this should solve your problem...

This will fetch a new page everytime you go to a website without the issue of viewing locally cached pages from your computer..

(I wonder why M$ doesn't make this the default option?)

Hope that helps....

That didn't do it. All the default form fields like 'name' or 'email' still retain their prior entries in a drop-down.

perhaps you should re-phrase your question, and inquire how to turn off the auto-fill feature in IE....

that will solve your problem...

I have no idea how to turn it off at this point...

Goto IE Option -> Content -> Auto Complete -> then click on Clear Form and Clear Password.
