When I signed in on my computer I got a "Limited Virtual Memory" message - No paging file, or file is too small. Instructions with the message say to go to control panel, system, advanced tab, performance, settings, change, custom size, and type maximum or ideal paging file size. If I click ok the computer goes back to the screen to sign on or shut down. So I can't even get to the control panel to make the changes.

Has anyone ever encountered this, and can you help me?

Thanks.

My first guess is your hard drive is full (or perhaps corrupted). If its just full then boot up in safe mode and delete a bunch of junk.

Thank you for the quick response. I'll try safe mode as soon as I get home.
