Fixing a Redirect on a Win IIS/5.0 Server
How to remove the redirect going to default.asp

I'm pretty well-versed in Apache, but I have a project I'm assigned that has a Windows Server. There is a redirect pointing to default.asp, and no matter where I look on the server, I can't find any type of file that would seem to control it.

Can anyone lend me some advisement on where to look and what to do, as I've been up all night getting this project done and I gotta get some zzzzs. Much thanks!

Sleepily,

I'm not sure I'm completely clear on what you're asking for here...could it be a redirect set from the Home tab of the website's Properties in the IIS Manager?

Bill,

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what it was, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now, just so I understand, it is referred to as the "2S Manager", correct?

No, it's actually short for Internet Information Services. IIS is the proper way to refer to this.

Bill,

You are, as we say in Manhattan, "the goods"! Thanks for the clarification so I don't look like a dumb a$$ when I speak to the host today! :-)

Cheers!
