Icons for sanity

I need windows icons for my PC and laptop. I usually creat shortcuts to often-used files, like .txt or to certain directories and just like to click on an icon to get to work, but I have run out of distinctive ones to use. (It's difficult to use one icon for more than one file.task and remain sane.) A few URLs would be great. Writing and Hawaii/travel themes, or anything well-done.

:)

You could Make your own icons [microsoft.com] too. :)

Make my own?! That was a good idea, but man, I know mine would be u-g-l-y! I hadn't thought about that, and finally spent some Google-time finding some free .ico collections. Found a site or two and will make do. But, I like the notion of icons that are tailored to me oddball usages. I'll have to find some time and give it a whirl sometime. thanks.

Hehe, I feel the same way... Every time I try to do any icons (or anything graphics-related, really), it ends up being either a blob of primary colours (I'm pretty badly "colour deficient (blind)" or little black on white icons with the first letter of the app I want it to run. :)
