...the desktop version of the souped-up Windows would come at the beginning of April, while the server version would come at the end of the month.

That's enlightening news. :)

That is good news. The throughput on the next pc's will be a very noticeable increase. This opens a vast new frontier for developers, "man you will be able to crank through a heap of code".
