can't be hosted

I think this goes here:

I would use ftp:// to have my website hosted. I've found great deals on this type of hsoting but I can't because every time I log onto an ftp site or a site with url [url.com:2082...] I get a cannot find server.

I have the following checked:

TLS 1.0
SSL 2.0
SSL 3.0
Folder view for FTP
Passive FTP

Please Help

It looks as if you are trying to use a browser?

try:

ftp://username@ftp.yoururl.com

Most hosts accept this form of FTP. You will be propted for a password if it works.

If you are using an FTP program, just use:

ftp.yoururl.com

No "http".
