Hello,

I was wondering if anyone know if it would be possible for an IDE drive mirror to SCSI drive. If so, does anyone have any site I can view for instructions?

Thanks,

CompWorld

It is not recommended and there are several good reasons why.

But, you can do a software RAID in XP. There may not be any specific instructions around for mirroring an IDE to SCSI but any standard software RAID instructions will work. Your usable space will drop to the size of the smaller disk.

AFAIK, there are no hardware RAID products to do this.

linux software raid can do that, too... your raid will also appear more than a IDE raid than a SCSI raid speedwise
