Recommendations on IP over KVM switch

Hello group!
We recently purchased a KVM over IP switch from a company called Alpusen that is not stable. Does anyone have any experience/recommedations on a system that works for remote control of Linux and Windows servers?

Thanks.

Not really, but for the most part, I've found that ssh for connecting to *NIX servers, and RDP for windows servers to be sufficient. Of course, the only problem being that if the network functionality of your OS is toast, you can't connect to it, which is probably why you wanted an IP KVM in the first place. :)

As for connecting to the *NIX boxes, I've actually built my own serial terminal server, using an old box, a USB hub, and a bunch of USB->Serial adapters. I enabled serial console access on the boxes, and made it the default console. Nothing pretty, but in a pinch, it helps me connect to any of my boxes.

I don't believe Windows boxes are able to display the console to the serial cable. ;)
