|a question about a multiplexer |

im about to publish a website from my own production server at home, do i need what they call it a multiplexer card or a server card.
someone tell me u can use the multiplexer card so u will be able to manage over the visitors; like keep a request until execute another.
forgive me i dont know to much about it.
i apreciate your help

If you're only running one server, you shouldn't need any extra hardware. All you need is the server, a network connection with static IP, and DNS service.
