| Need more monitors Going from two to four |

Two monitors changed my life - now I want four - but I don't want to cause myself problems either. I could replace the graphics card with a card that supports 4 monitors. I've heard Matrox mentioned as a good option many times. But I splurged more than I should have on a Radeon card (For game breaks:), and would hate to pull it out. (But will if need be.) I could remove the modem card that need not be there, and squeeze in another graphics card, but am really concerned about excess heat and such, and shooting myself in the foot. Is there such a thing as external graphics cards? What are my best options? Performance counts, so while this was never budgeted, I'm not looking to go on the cheap.
