Flash Header and Links

I have a flash header on my site that has five buttons. When these buttons are clicked the flash movie goes to a specific frame and plays a movie, so there's a custom header for each category. But I want to be able to add a link in the body of the page to one of the other pages. When I click the link it goes to the page but the header doesn't change so it shows the wrong category. I hope this is making sense. Any ideas how to make this work?

To complicate things a bit the site is also using Iframes so the header and body are in different frames.

Not sure if I followed you right but it seems pretty simple to fix if I did. So here goes. Im going to start with the simple obvious just to see if it might have been overlooked. When you set up the link did you target it or just leave it as a link?

<a href="examplepage.html","_main">example page</a>

After you make this link put ',"_main"'
like above and it will throw the page into the main window instead of just the window the link is currently in. If you use flash then in the button you would type
