Gidday folks

just making my first foray into flash, and have come up against an online only display problem.

The flash file loads OK using NS 4.79, Moz 1.6, Opera, but browser online in M$IE v6 (installed on my system only for checking how sites look, prefer Moz at the moment, but given how many people out there ... M$ yada yada ...), the HxW is blank until the preloader loads, then it pops up the "Do you want to install and run" etc. window (Flash viewer already installed on my machine!), when I select "no", the flash then runs.

Is this just my local machine config problem or would it manifest online as well?

Thanks in advance

BTW, already tweaked DTD from xml to 4.01 to force css to load before flash.

As this problem only occurs in IE, I think it's just your local machine, you might want to try the following steps:

  1. Check for Spyware/Adware and remove them if possible.
  2. Uninstall Flash and then reinstall it.
  3. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling IE.

Also, try accessing the file on a different computer (i.e. your local cafe) and see if it loads there.

Thanks for that checklist, always helps to have a reminder and outside viewpoint.
