Odd problem I encountered which reminds me why I like Netscape:
I have a flash plugin on one of my websites that has links to a few pages that REQUIRE the referring page to be page the flash plugin is on (index.php).
Using a snippet of PHP using $HTTP_REFERER, I include a "sorry" file instead of the main content if the referrer is not from the index.php page.
Netscape 7 recognizes both the index.php location as well as the SWF file itself as the referrer, but IE doesn't. I even echoed the $HTTP_REFERER on the page, and IE doesn't print anything. Netscape prints the location of the SWF file.
Anyone else encounter and remedy this issue?
I'm posting this here because this is most likley a flash issue, based on the evidence IE wont print $HTTP_REFERER coming from a flash link.
