The game is easy and i cant remember where i found out about it (may have been here!?) but it works great...

The thread with this game going is now the number 1 most posted to thread on the board.

Heres what you do:

Start the thread and explain the rules.... People must write

The person below me _________.

and in the blank fill it with something -- a fact, idea, opinion blah blah.

The next person to follow up the post will respond with if its true or not.. maybe elaborate a bit, then finish their post with:

The person below ME has... blah.

It really gets the posts rolling, especially if you get maybe 2 of them doing... i did one named "Clean" and one named "Dirty"... of course Clean is rated G and dirty is now rated X lol.

It's surprising how popular games are, and how many posts/views they'll draw. Word association games, etc., work too.

You don't want your forum to be dominated by these things, but they can really help in getting members and even lurkers posting.

Another good one is an Answer a question/Ask a question.

You start with a question such as:

How many TV's do you own?

The next poster has to answer the question and then ask one of their own. It is a good way to get to know each other and make somewhat of a connection.

Another good one I saw was to start by posting a seven letter word and then get people to make a new word by changing just one letter of the previous word.
