really hard to help you with this one, as these values will be completely unique to your smtp account. Basically, if you need to use the mail server instead of the default mail(); function, you need get these values from your host.
Username and pw are self explanatory....

Hi Joe :)
So if I set this to Yes >>
Use SMTP Server for email -- Say yes if you want or have to send email via a named server instead of the local mail function (Yes/No)
then it will handle the emails properly? :)

If you enter the proper values for your smtp account, then yes. If you just enable smtp and do not specify account settings, chances are you won't get much email milage out of your phpbb.
Good luck! :)
