Woo Hooo!

After many months of being listed in DMOZ but experiencing the mysterious lack of DMOZ description on our results... we're baaaaack....

The Ranking indicator is still not appearing next to our web directory listing, but this is a good start.

Now I must go and arrange a sacrifice as I pledged.....

pleas help us out with that, but not asking and not answering unrelated questions in the middle of a thread (threads go sideways when that happens).

After a month out of the index for unknown reasons, my main site is back in. Ranks are good, and I'm smiling again.

Hi, just tried a link:mysite.com on www3.

To my amazement it included my profile information from Webmasterworld. Did not give the correct link (gave [noi...] ), but had the gist of the profile page and information from there.

Profile :

noi - Similar pages

So it downloads the profile page, indexes the data, but since its noindex does not give the url.?

(Perhaps this is old information, ?:-) )

This is BAD .. A site that was down and displayed a server default page is ONLY showing the "default" server page in this UPDATE. YUK!. What is strange has been Googlebot craweled the site 10 days later YET all we got was the server default page ... So, a few hours of downtime and you are out of Google for a month;)

This update seems weird. I seem to have lost a lot of keywords...I wonder if they are done fixing the algo's...

Anyone?

www2/3 seems to have only picked up new sites that I submitted over 2 weeks ago, although newer sites have been spidered.

Nice One Google

Site showing 86 links into our site from 28, I am curious that in our logs GB only hit 1 page and left but the 25 of our own pages seem to be there. How can you guys see a different P?

The usual chicken counting seems to be in progress.... so the usual warning: The juggling is far from over. I've just seen a dramatic shift with one site on WWW2 in about a 5 minute time frame.

The 2 sites I'm waiting to go in this time are both not showing any PR at all. Guess they don't get that till they make it into www huh?

How long before we see the main index change anyone?

Up to #2 on one really good keyword! Down some on a couple other good keywords. Can't even find my site on some keywords. I'll wait until we call this one done before I look at it again.

I've seen that "noi" show up on several searches. Appears to either be a bug, or a test of some sort.

>>is is just me who thinks Google, have been a little to easy with spam this time?<<

Dunno about spam, but I've noticed a decline in relevancy for some keywords. I can't use a real-life example here, but let's say the keyword is "Springfield." Instead of all top 10 results for "Springfield" being about "Springfield," one is for a small university that just happens to be in Springfield...while a Springfield travel site with nearly 500 pages about Springfield has dropped out of the top 10 and into the #17 position.

Still, all in all, I can't complain too much about what I'm seeing in WWW2 and WWW3. Some of my results are up, and some are down, but the changes don't seem dramatic for the most part--and my new pages (the ones that were uploaded right before the last deep crawl) are ranking nicely for their keywords.

Yeeeeehaaaw! #2 for my major search phrase and #1 for 47 other search phrases. Now if I can just get my inquiry page working maybe I can cash in!!!!

I hope this one sticks ... I love Google! :)

I assume you are talking about the results on www2? I hope this doesn't stick for us.. we dropped 4 pages in the results for our main page on our main site. :( One of our sites moved from #2 to #1 but the site in second place is returning a 404. So hopefully things will shuffle a bit as days go by.

It's a bit early for an update, isn't it?

They've been updating around the 1st and 10th for the last two months.
