Google updated their ODP database for sure. I checked a few new additions personally made in ODP last week and got brand new results.

I lost positions with all one word searchs and stayed the same with 2 and 3 word searchs.

Hmm, I'm seeing increases in about half my sites, with only about 4 - 5 decreasing. A good weekend :)

Off search engines for the weekend and was unpleasantly suprised.
Some of my top listings dropped 10 - 17 places including some bankers from the ODP.

They just did some kind of update this weekend -- or maybe just an algo change. It's not one that was particularly kind to me, either.
It's hard to see a client spend 6 months in the top ten, and wake up one day to see them at 61! And the new top ten spots have some really odd newcomers -- not familiar from any other major engine.
Well, almost everything that happens on search engines is "just a phase". This one will pass too.
