When composing a message typing a name in partially brings up a box with all the contacts under that text. This is brilliant, however when I have a group of people I want to send to I cannot always remember who's who and there addresses. Gmail NEEDS a drop down box or similar with ALL the addresses in it on the compose page.
I think that would be far too many to show. I mean, I have about 400 addresses in my book. I think showing the dropdown after you put some of it works well; you can just click Contacts to see all of your contacts.
I agree. What I would like to see is the addition of Contact-specific "Labels" similar in function to Message Labels where the Label becomes the list. Think about it: You assign one or more Labels to a Contact, and then when you want to send to a list, just select the Label. Simple, intuitive, and certainly implementable.
jbarr, true, sounds like a good idea. But I'm curious if that doesn't consume much more CPU usage than just displaying one list. Though everybody knows that the prices are low I'd say that disk space for people is cheaper than CPU usage. (The comparison looks strange, but it's the best way I can express it, sorry)
jbarr that's a good idea. As for the adresses how about this- when you click contacts when you have it in compose clicking the adresses should add them to the current message- huh! huh! Good or what? :D
