Excellent beginning on this tool. Now, if only Google would recogonize the need for multiple email addresses and make these tools for mulitple accounts.

| i have the Gmail Notifier extension for FF! |
| Which clearly violates the Gmail TOS, and Google is quietly changing its login procedures and message display in ways which will break it. It's not a particularly good idea using this extension to check an account which has any importance, which is why the official Gmail notifier is important (but I want one for Linux too!)

This is a great little program! Works great, AND give a good indication when Gmail is having problems because it will give login errors.

I just noticed this morning that the Gmail Notifier updated its registry settings and autostart option. It did all of this automatically without notifying me (pun intended). If I didn't have a registry monitor I would never have noticed this.

| This happened to me about 5 minutes ago. Since I've had this for a couple weeks, couldn't belive that it was updating itself without letting me approve/disapprove what it was doing. I reread the agreement, and it says what most of them do, they accept no liability to what it'll do and how it's going to work. Once I saw that I can't control what its going to download, adn that'll change my startup programs without letting me know anything - its now one less piece of software on my computer.

So that would be why it stopped working for me this morning - gives me an error "Cannot read your messages (bad data, 1)". :(

It looks like the notifier got a makeover. It has new images and popups when I get a message.
