Web space and removing pages web space, ftp remove spiky msg:375171 10:09 am on Dec 12, 2004 (gmt 0) We are getting the error message 20553 "File name not allowed" when trying to ftp to our site.
We think we may have exceeded or 30mb space allowance as the fpt program (creative elements)is working for other domains.
How do we check how much wab space we are filling and remove old or obsolete pages from our hosted site web?

That sounds more like you have some illegal characters a the filename.
But to answer your question re: how to determine space - does you host offer a control panel? Most control panels have some tool that should show you how much space you have alloted to you and how much is filled up. Then you can use your FTP program to add/delete files as you need to.

The strange thing is these are all files we have previously been able to FTP with no problems, we have not altered the file names to our knowledge.
