Proxies and browser configuration

I know that a proxy (if you chose the right one) can hide your IP address. But do these proxies also hide information such as your browser language, system language, date and time on your computer?

depends on the proxy. Seek out anonymous proxies, which *should* be configured to replace header info with generics. Be warned that there is no guarantee they will function as advertised.

Proxy your proxy for better safety, and poorer performance.
