Hi

I want to change my url name from www.abc.com/new.html to www.abc.com/new.asp as i have to implement some new things on the page but my .html page has got good rankings.

What can be done to keep the existing rankings with new page extension.

Pls help

I'm no expert at this stuff, but I think if you use a permanent server-side redirect to the new page, the rankings will eventually be passed to the new page.

If your running on an IIS web server you can map your .htm and .html files to the ASP.DLL; this will allow you to write ASP right into your already existing .htm/.html pages allowing you to keep your good ranking page in tact.
