Hi all, I've just recently joined this forum and I need some help.

My original plan was to post music reviews, but after realizing the vast content I'd have to fulfill, I decided I needed another idea.

So my question is what other ideas can I base my site on that would fit under my domain name. Otherwise I will have to give it up. The domain was free under namezero, I did this to see if I could get enough hits to buy my own domain, so it's not a big deal if I lose the site.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. Not too bad of a start on a site you have there (in profile).

Coming up with content is always fun. Some days it flows like water and you can pour it out of your brain fast enough, and other's it's worse than root canal. I never understood the phrase writers block until I got into web work. Best thing for it, is to surf around the net until inspiration strikes.

hey SuprB

interestingly enough my very first website was a music review site. They are a lot of work with very little payback other than a bunch of free cds if you can make the right connections with some labels. I picked up around 100 cds before I packed the project in.

A few things we did to generate content were:
1) entertainment related news feeds (isyndicate, moreover etc)
2) discussion forum for members - huge liabilities here though so we took it down
3) links pages to labels and artist sites

If you want another direction you could take to reviewing sound equipment such as cd players, mp3 players, stereo equipment etc. You might be able to get your hands on review units and maybe even some freebies.

Thanks for the ideas, I'm still not certain yet, but the ideas really gave me a start.
