Beyond 100 Google Hacks
Publicly available perl programs using the Google API?

I have just bought the Google Hacks book and have obtained an API key and downloaded the API kit. Great fun!

Unfortunately I am a mediocre programmer at best, and much prefer modifying programs to writing them from scratch. The Hacks book is not very SEO oriented. Does anyone know a source of SEO-type perl scripts using the Google API? A Google search gave very disappointing results :(

Clarification: I am not interested in CGI-type programs, but programs that will run from my PC to do various queries.

General SEO stuff ...

Actually it is quite easy to modify the programs in the book to do quite interesting things, I have just written a program to do a link:my.site.com and exclude internal links, then output the external links in HTML.

Other nice things would be a program to take a file of search terms and report where I rank on each (quite easy, I believe, am working on it now), or to report where I and a small list of competitors rank (trickier programming).
