I made the wise (I think) choice to remove my toolbar, because I wanted to stop thinking like a webmaster and start thinking like a user.
It got bad...everytime I visited a site I would first check the PR and if it wasn't at least a (homepage) PR3 then I wouldn't give the site a second look. I simply associated PR with quality. Not just on a marketing level but also as a everyday user, when surfing the web.
I lost touch with relevancy and what's really important to the everyday users! If I can make users remember my websites name then what beats that!
I've been waiting the last 6 months for a PR update on my sites, but my sites PR hasn't moved! The agony! If my sites were to all hit PR0 by tomorow, then my whole world would come crashing down!
Well, today I decided I don't want to use a crunch anymore. Don't get me wrong! I need to lean on Google and other marketing platforms, but I don't need PR, to dictate my web life.
This may not make any sense to most, but hey its late and I'm up!
