To be honest with you the best way to learn about SE's is to read through these forums.
Be very carefull about using WPG doorways, just use the page critic and produce your own and try to leave the blue line out :)

I had / have the same problem as you have. There are a lot of sources claiming to give good info but first you have to pay, then you can see what they really offer. To avoid spending thousands of dollars, always look for a 100% mony back guarantee.
I think a lot of knowledge is gathered but never centralized or is used commercially. I think there is no really super SEO course around, apart from all the beginner's stuff.
If anyone knows a good resource apart from the ones mentioned above, please give notification.
