Hey sorry if this would be classified as a dumb post.

So I went to ebaumsWorld today and saw a message, (please go and look yourself) about them being forced to censor stuff.

To me, it looked like a stupid, late April fools joke, but its April second and that site makes enough money to pay someone to revert their site back to normal once April first is over...

So is the thing for real or not, if so MY GOD this is crazy otherwise.. eBaum'sWorld sucks at telling the date.

Thanks,

Cameron

It would be nice if was an April Fool's joke. Seems more like an amateurish publicity stunt.

The domain was created March 30, 2006 and is registered to Domains by Proxy and the site resides on a shared server. It doesn't pass the smell test, they are trying much too hard to look "official."

So I guess its not real, which brings me to another point: why...

Ebaumsworld is one of the most popular sites, ever. It doesn't need the publicity it could get from this. I don't understand why they would do something like this, business-wise how would it help..?

Also, nice detective work.

Look at the different sites and as well as the WHOIS info and it's clear the Baum site set this up themselves. Bleh, what a site.
