| synchronizing local website with online version
who does it and how? |

I develop my website on my home computer with the help of my friend 'localhost'. I would feel safe(r) if I could keep the website offline, add content, and afterwards push the button to synchronize it with the online version. Anyone does it this way and how?

I do it this way with developing all my pages locally and just ftp it up the server. The only problem is it takes a while so I zip up before uploading. There are tools that do automatic uploads, but I have not looked into those yet.

I use dreamweaver and it has pretty decent synch functionality.

I just have a little batch script that I run to upload files.
