Optimizing Inktomi via trusted feed
do the rules change?

This topic has probably been addressed before but I can't seem to find it. Please point me in the right direction if it has.

I'm using the IDIF XML feed to submit my pages to inktomi and I would like to optimize their content.

Does inktomi only look at the XML feed and not at the content of the actual page?

How strict are they with differing content?

What page items should/should not be included, e.g. hrefs, disclaimers, navigation?

What items would get labeled as cloaking and what would the consequences be?

What items does inktomi weigh when ranking (I've read that headings and bold tags are important, how about link text)?

I've read that keyword density is important for Inktomi, but is there a point at which there are too many occurances of the same keyword on the page?

Thanks in advance.
