What's really puzzling me is that there wont be any results for a while, and 5 minutes later, the search results are back. Then they dissapear, and the process repeats itself. Either way, I'm looking for a huge drop in traffic from Inktomi today.

I'm seeing something different. Keep clicking on NEXT>> until you reach the end of the looksmart listings. The Inktomi results will appear.

Seeing LOOK listings ( Web Directory ) then INK listings... ( as it usually is on Mon & Tue ). A little surprised they brought the LOOK listings back so soon.

Panic: "LookSmart listings have been in and out of MSN since January." I'm very well aware of that, and have also noticed over the past several weeks there's been a pattern to when Look listings are listed and when they're not. ( which currently the pattern seems to have been broken). My apologies if there was any confusion from my previous post.

Just checked into this forum for first time today. FYI, I've *only* seen INK results all day today on M$N, same as yesterday. No LS at all. At least 10 different checks throughout the day. Not the first time that different people see different SERP's concurrently on M$N lately. But my INK traffic is down today, so that must be why.

It's the first time I've seen Inktomi results completely excluded from MSN.

Could be a regional feed thing then? As I've seen INK all day, can't be universal. Judging from my lack of INK traffic today, it could be a problem in a large area. I'd agree that what you're seeing doesn't make sense as a test of any kind.

Possibly. I've checked the listings from 4 different locations via shell (LA, Houston, Richmond VA, and Philadelphia) and they all show MSN with Overture and LookSmart listings. | I'd agree that what you're seeing doesn't make sense as a test of any kind. |

Unless they've decided to ONLY have listings that they'll get paid for, I don't think this was intentional.

I'm in the Philly area, have been checking MSN all day and haven't seen LS listings. There were a couple times when the search was down completely, but I'm getting the usual results.

Ummm...if, on their regular site, some of us are seing only INK and some only LS...and the beta is all INK...wouldn't that imply a real world test *is* going on at the regular site?

Thanks steveb. Actually we have the URL...we were just discussing the differences between the beta and main site, and trying to sort out why some were only seeing L$ and *no* INK results in some/many geo's yesterday on the main site. Speaking of which, I still INK results today, no matter where I look. Any updates from other corners of the globe? Still too early in the day to tell by looking at M$N traffic.
