MSN search beta is live

[search.msn.com...]

Looks like the top 3 ppc ads are MSN supplied, with Overture taking up the 4th and ads on the right side. Not very wise since I see the same site listed twice in the 3rd and 4th spots.

The rest is Ink.

Whats up with the auction site listing? Out of curiosity I clicked that link... a top placed google #1 site is at $51 right now. :)

I think someone is seeing something different than a few of us are.

We are seeing pure ink and heavily laiden with bizarre results like that ebay result in the middle of the ebay search.

Of course it is Ink and Overture that's why I wrote what I wrote at the top.

Looks like the top 3 ppc ads are MSN supplied, with Overture taking up the 4th and ads on the right side. Not very wise since I see the same site listed twice in the 3rd and 4th spots.

The rest is Ink.

The top left of the page says Beta MSN Search.

This isn't the Featured Sites -> Sponsored -> Web Pages results from before.

UK IP - Did a search for Freeserve, 1st advertiser result was looklistings served by doubleclick.

Title bar says "More Useful Everyday".

I would rank that with "Nothing Works Better"

At least they cleared out that LookSmart garbage again - hope it lasts.

I feel sorry for y'all that have paid inclusion, but in the travel related SERPs LS was including tons of amazon affiliate links with their own aff code and aff links to expedia, etc. "Featured Sites", more like "Total Garbage".

Looks kind of spamy from my end. Some sites I have not seen in a while..ones that google kicked out for life.
Im sure they will be cleaning things up like google has.

Ok, see the new look, looks good. Just the look is new, results are still INK right? That's what i see, new look, same results as the msn.com

Thanks for the link. Yah, guess it's a new look with same INK serps.

It will feel pretty strange if Yahoo! launches their search with the same exact listings as MSN :)

[search.msn.com...]

The forth listing (the first in the 'web directory section) is for 'Google Personals & Chat' and it is a redirected affiliate site for AdultFriender.com.

This is a perfect example of the spam that Ink is full of.

I think it's funny that the first listing shows how flawed Ink is. I hope they figure out how to fix things soon though. I'd love to see Ink return qualified results.

Results look unique for me and I'm lovin'it! Nice and clean layout, good relevancy. First time when using MSN is a pleasant experience. Hope this sticks.

What I like most is that paid ads are now clearly separated and the whole SERpage looks the way it should.

Good layout. Same old serps. Good to see a change though.
