I signed up with Inktomi, is the next step Alta Vista? I am sure these enigines are looking to make a buck like Google and Overture. They just plan on doing it a different way.

Any experience with the Alta Vista Inclusion?

AV offers the most expensive paid inclusion and offers little traffic (although taffic has been improving slowly).. For most sites I'd recommend spending your marketing $$ elsewhere..

I wonder what AV is up to.. my site isn't even listed there.

I'm in the other engines - just not very deep.
