" Is anybody else as excited about this as I am, or am I missing something? " Me! I can't wait! My sites rank very well in Inktomi. I hope msn.com does the same as msn.co.uk has done. The web pages section has been moved up to replace the directory listings.

"MSN already dropped LookSmart listings." Then where are the directory results coming from? They are different than Looksmart's. I thought Looksmart's results were supposed to stay until the 15th. And why has msn.co.uk dropped the directory listings?

I'm noticing that the search results say "Beta" at the top (for me, anyway). These results do not have LookSmart listings.

I have just run some queries through msn.com and it seems like all the direcory sites (LookSmart listings) have now gone, leaving featured sites, sponsored sites (Overture) and web pages (Ink).

I no longer see Looksmart as well (Illinois). What I am seeing in the layout of the featured, sponsered, and web page listings is very intersting though. This is what I have seen so far: (1) query with sponsered, featured, and web page results: featured on the top, sponsered on the right (and only on the right), and web pages directly under featured results. (2) query with only sponserd and web page results: sponsered results on the top and on the right, and web pages directly under the top sponsered results. So far, this looks like you will always have web pages as the second group of results after either featured or sponsered results. This has got to be great for anyone with good placement in Ink. -bB

gone gone buh-bye from where I sit in OK. I'll miss the web directory listings, but fortunately, the web pages section has not been unkind to me either, so no tears.
