Inktomi's file size
What is the max file size for Inktomi?

I know you can't have a page over 10k or G won't crawl it. However, I optimized my homepage for Inktomi through some columns I read. It said my changes would appear in 48 hours, but so far, no good. When I did a search my homepage was 10kb so I am wondering, if I made the homepage over 10kb, would Ink add the new version of it? It's been crawled many times now but not added to the index yet...so I figured I must had made the page too big and Ink won't add it.

Anyone out there know the max file size for a file on Ink? And any strategies as to how to reduce my homepage file size..I'll sticky the URL to anyone interested.

Thanks!

... Happily indexed at 30k+ on several pages, not that I'd make it a habit.

I think the limit for G is substantially higher - like 100k, and having a large page does not stop them from fetching/indexing/including the page, it just means that they process a truncated version, so the stuff at the bottom (actually, at the end of the file) gets cut off.

I have no idea how deep Ink will go on a page, though.
