Pay for another year?
Once well ranked, paid inclusion no longer needed

Hi!

I paid to have a site included in Inktomi, Lycos and the search engines they trickle down to. The paid inclusion gaurantee lasts one year.

If I achieve good rankings for this site, is it necessary to renew after one year? Or does your rank more or less "stick" once you reintegrate into the non-paid pool?

I'm a newbie, and any thoughts on the issue or experiences to share would be enormously appreciated.

Paul

When you drop the paid listings your site may drop from the index until it's re-indexed by the free spiders.. Depending on the amount of traffic/business your getting from Ink, it may or may not be worth renewing..

I also did the 29 dollar inclution but then did the PPC. Once my PPC money runs out will it affect my non-PPC rankings. I ranked very well in MSN and I am hoping that i don't have to put more money into looksmart.
