I can understand how inclusion can benefit sites that are brand new and don't want to wait to be spidered for free, but is it worthwhile if you only have semi-new sites (say 6 weeks or so) and active PPC campaigns?
The reason I ask is that a collegue suggested in a meeting that we pay for inclusion for some of our newer sites as we are having difficulty spending the full budget allocated to those sites, despite having a large keyword inventory and many top bids in several different PPCs.
I personally find it hard to see how paying for inclusion could be worthwhile in this situation, as you are only paying for inclusion and not ranking, and that the money would be better spent on submitting to directories. But I could be missing something...please let me know if you think i am!
