All,

Regarding non-pfi sites in Inktomi showing in Hotbot Serps, does anyone know whether the date stamp is either

a) The date the page was last crawled.
b) The date the page was last changed.

I get the feeling that unfortunately it is the former, with inktomi not bothering to crawl pages for years in some instances once they are in and do not change for a given period - I have one example returning a date stamp of 1999.

Cheers
Fiver

I think it may represent the date the page was last changed. I checked some of the pages with a 2002 date using the Server Header Checker [searchengineworld.com] and the dates match the Last Modified Date.

Coconutz is correct, Hotbot displays the date the page was last modified.
