|Is Inktomi the sole contributor to the MSN secondary results?|
Thought so till recently!

Till not too long back I used think MSN's webpages = Inktomi. But is my knowledge archaic? About 500 pages of my site were naturally spidered by Inktomi and indexed. But now for no apparent reasons, only 2 pages are indexed.
Now if I try to search for one my pages by typing in the URL, in MSN it shows up, but not in Positiontech pure search. Now for some more trials, If I type in a sentence (unique to my site) from one of my pages, the page won't feature in PT, but in MSN it shows up as the last rank. Ranks above my page are same as in PT. When I tried this out with more pages, without fail my pages, which are the only ones to carry the typed sentence, feature as last rank in MSN. Where do these ranks come from, if they are not from Inktomi?

PositionTech pure search and MSN have always given different ranking. I'm not sure who ranks the Inktomi results, maybe Tony_Perry knows it...Overture?

Tony Perry, You were probably correct, had I opted for keyword bid in Overture. But along with Inktomi, even in Overture the pages are gone, which may be because Overture takes the non-bid ranks from Ink. So MSN isn't showng the results from Overture too.

MSN and Inktomi only lists 2 results when searching for your url (www.yoursite.com). Try the following at Pure Search [search.positiontech.com]:
This will list all of the pages indexed by Inktomi.
As far as I can tell, MSN Web Pages are still from Inktomi, as well as Overture's Additional Listings:
"Within Additional Listings, which are provided by Inktomi, there may be links for which the Web site owners have paid for either expedited review of their site and/ or paid for clicks to their site."

Good Insight Coconutz. Infact I concurred there are 2 pages listed with Ink by typing in "domain:www.mysite.com" in PT. It was how I got to know about 500 pages were listed in Ink initially.
Now the point is when I know that certain page is not listed either with Ink or Overture, how is that being shown in MSN? The simplest way I find that out is typing in an entire sentence from a page of my site within quotes. In MSN the page shows up but not in Ink or Overture. If I did that for the pages (out of 2) that are listed with Ink, in all 3 places - MSN, Ink and Overture the page shows up.
