Well over a month ago I submitted a page to AV for a friend. I can find it by typing in the URL: [mkatherinehurley.com...] but it's not showing up anywhere in the listings. It's not a very competitive catagory so it should do pretty well, but it's not to be found. Is this an unusual situation or does AV set em aside sometimes and list em later?
I would love to Mike, however I didn't create this site. I just host it and was trying to give her a hand. It was done by another artist who does NOT want to "destroy" the beauty of the page. Geeze, I'll never get into the middle of a deal like that again. I was lucky to get the text that IS there on the page. Maybe I should drop it into a single frame and put the text in the no-frames section. Nevertheless, it should rank somewhere, even if it's low. Right now it doesn't seem to be listed at all under "landscape paintings".
You should add "landscape paintings" to the title, I think. Something like: <title>The landscape paintings of M. Katherine Hurley</title>
There are several other things that come to mind, like more text, offering several images online that are called "landscape 1" etc., but I think first you should worry about the fact that all her links, at the time of my visit, 404'd
ARRRRGGGG! A new one on me. The index file in the public_html folder didn't match the one that showed in my FTP program. Ya learn something new every day. Thanks rmccabe and lizzie for alerting me to this. And yes Kate is a VERY good artist. I also think that the quality of the photos could be better and that they should be thumbnailed. But not my call. I'll pass your compliment on to Kate lizzie.
